What is a peer-reviewed journal? How can I find one?
!!Answer
That's a great question!
A peer-reviewed journal contains articles that have been reviewed by a group of experts before publication. Peer-reviewed journals are sometimes called scholarly or refereed journals, too.
Most scholarly articles have the following traits:
- Written by experts
- Have references (footnotes and/or works cited or bibliography)
- Formal or technical writing style
- Published by a university or professional association (ex. Journal of the American Medical Association)
